Police have confirmed a person died at the scene of a two-vehicle crash in Auckland on Friday afternoon.
Police said they were called to the crash on Geddes Terrace, Avondale at around 4.45pm.
In a statement, police said a person died at the scene.
"At this stage, we believe the person has suffered a medical event."
The road was closed and later reopened.
