100th game for Braid

With 99 games under his belt, Daniel Braid is keeping up with the pace. This Saturdays final will be his 100th match and a proud moment for Aucklands captain. Braid says "Its going to be a great occasion in the final and with the uncertainty of playing a semi and not knowing whether its gonna get there I got a bit emotional after the game".

Daniel has fond memories of his first game for Auckland which saw him teamed up with Ali Williams and coached by Wayne Pivac. Mr Pivac says “ Deans been a great player for Auckland he’s not the biggest player on the field but he's got a big ticker, he goes for 80 minutes he’s great value for Auckland and the Blues”.

While Daniel is hopeful his old team mate Ali Williams will be on the field this week his major goal is to make his 100th game something even more memorable than he could imagine.
