Te Matatini 2015 - Te Rerenga Kōtuku

Te Rerenga Kōtuku is the last group to represent Kahungunu rohe at Te Matatini 2015.

Te Rerenga Kōtuku was established in 1992.  From Te Wairoa, for years this kapa consistently placed in the top ranks of their regional competitions.  Today they gave an impressive performance for the masses gathered at Pūtaringamotu.

They strive to provide a positive environment for their mokopuna to breathe, live and learn in Te Ao Māori.  “To uphold the mana of Ngāti Kahungunu through excellence in Māori Performing Arts.”

They are tutored by Sheree and Elliot Spooner, and are led today by Sheree Cotter-Spooner and John-Barry Smith.
