One person has died after a vehicle crashed into a power pole in Awanui, Northland on Friday night.
Police said a person transported to hospital following the 11.30pm crash has since died.
A second person sustained moderate to minor injuries.
"Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing," police said.
