Action-packed day ends Waikato-Tainui Games weekend

Those present at the final day of this year's Tainui sports event, were in high spirits.

The touch rugby play-offs were a highlight today, with Tūrangawaewae taking out the coveted title.

Marrin Hagging told Te Kāea, "Hopefullly this will help improve our iwi's health.

Our team is stoked!  We've been encouraging one another, and helping each other out.  It's been uplifting."

A VIP area was designated for the iwi's kaumātua, where they could take in all the action at their leisure.

With the good vibes and positivity flowing throughout the event, it's certain that next year's games will be greatly anticipated.
