Another year of success for NZ Hip-Hop crews at World Championships

Harrah's Resort in California was at full capacity over the last few days with over 3500 hip-hop dancers from over 50 countries around the world participating in the 2015 World Hip Hop Dance Championships.

The new Auckland-based crew "The Bradas" wowed the audience and judges, taking first place in the adult crew division.

World-renowned dancer/choreographer Parris Goebel and her dancers have claimed numerous gold, silver and bronze medals over the years, but this year was particularly special.

It was in fact The Bradas who took out first place in the adult division.

Dancer Jackson Tuarae posted on social media saying he's "so proud" to be a part of The Bradas and to be bringing the gold home for New Zealand.

Goebel took 4 crews to the Hip-Hop World Championships and competed against 50 other teams in the finals.

Her Royal Family Mega crew earned a silver medal, while the Korean crew 'Lock N Lol' were crowned this year's champions.

Goebel's teams are currently in Los Angeles and The Bradas are expected to return to New Zealand this week.
