Aotearoa to host Pacific League World Cup Dressage final

Dressage followers are celebrating with the news that New Zealand will host the 2016/2017 Pacific League World Cup final.

The last time New Zealand hosted the event was in 1998 and the recent announcement comes after a joint agreement with Australia.

The final will take place at Manfield Park's indoor arena in Feilding, from February 2-4, 2017, in conjunction with the Bates National Championships.

ESNZ Dressage Board chair, Karen Trotter, is excited by the news.

“The possibility to host the final here after nearly two decades will be a fantastic opportunity for the increasing numbers of New Zealand based Grand Prix riders to experience the thrill of competing in a FEI Pacific League World Cup Final,” says Ms Trotter.

“We hope Australian riders will support the event and we look forward to welcoming them to New Zealand for what will be a world-class event.”
