Auckland Council's application for more Waikato River water under consideration

A board of inquiry is to consider Watercare and Auckland Council's application to increase its take of Waikato River water to 200 million litres a day.

Right now the second water summit to address Auckland's water shortage is being held in Hopuhopu to address this. But after originally being invited to attend and film the hui, Māori TV was told no cameras were allowed.
