Betham comes out of retirement to fight undefeated Spencer

Former All Black Carlos Spencer will make his professional boxing debut in December. Spencer who has had a number of corporate fights will make his switch to the professional arena against former league player Monty Betham.   

Monty Betham will come out of retirement.  He will lay it all-on-the-line against a man who has never been beaten in the fight for life event in Hamilton.

NZ heavyweight Boxing champion Joseph Parker will headline the card, with more exciting news to be announced tomorrow.

Spencer's corporate victories included beating rugby league stars Awen Guttenbeil and Jarrod McCracken.

However this fight will be a step up for Spencer, simply put Betham can box. 

Betham will begin his camp when head coach Lolo Heimuli, Heimuli is in Japan this week with his UFC fighter Mark Hunt preparing for his fight against Roy Nelson.
