Bikers drive White Ribbon message home in Wellington

30 leather-clad motorcyclists have landed in Wellington in an effort to raise awareness of violence in the home.  Aaron Moriana is heading a White Ribbon campaign visiting schools around the country with his message.

Travelling from Auckland to Wellington, a special group of bikers are on a mission.

Aaron Moriana and a few of his mates arrived at Māoribank School to tell their stories to show how some of them have turned away from a life of violence.

In New Zealand, one in three women will experience partner violence at some point in their lives.  Mr Moriana says that staying silent isn't an option anymore.

It’s up to the young faces of today to eradicate those actions in the future.

It’s hoped the group’s message does get through to the masses, so families can live safely in their homes.
