Central Pulse let win slip away

It was always going to be a tight match but the Pulse took advantage of mistakes early on to lead by one at the end of the first quarter.

However in the second quarter, it was Pulse making the mistakes, which saw the Steel easily take the lead by one at half-time.

The Steel found Jhaniele Fowler-Reid with ease to push three points in front. But the Pulse came back once more, to eventually lead by two at the end of the third quarter.

That lead continued and at one stage, the Pulse led by seven goals and looked likely to win the match.  But with their never-say-die attitude, the Steel came back with less than two minutes to go to trail by two.

It was a tip by Jane Watson and a last minute goal that tied the match up with one minute to go.

A goal by Ameliaranne Wells pushed her side to the front, but with seconds to go, the Steel equalised again to finish the match on 55-all.
