The Gardens Primary School in Manurewa is a decile 10 school, drawing students primarily from within area, and from all ethnic backgrounds.
This week the school went on their marae visit giving their students a chance to learn about the Māori culture, marae protocols and language.
Manurewa Marae played host to over a hundred children eager to learn about the marae and Māoridom.
