Cole-Baker travels the length of NZ to raise awareness for kidney donation

Only days ago, Ros Cole-Baker left Cape Reinga to travel the length of NZ to raise awareness for kidney donation.  Te Kaea caught wind that she's already receiving a great response from the public.

Ros Cole-Bakers' body is feeling the strain of travelling on foot and bike, but upon arriving in Whangarei she has good news.

Meanwhile, patients at the renal unit of the Whangarei Hospital are very supportive, many of them have spent years of their lives lying here with a machine as their friend.

A year has now passed since Ros gave a kidney to her husband Hugh.  Today they both remain passionate about increasing public awareness of kidney donation.

The hope is that Ros' travels will encourage more people to donate.
