Concert for Cordae

Leukaemia is a frightening illness, however for a three-year-old, it is the most terrible thing of all.

For Cordae Marsh, he has been given a four-year rehabilitation plan since his diagnosis.

Cordae Marsh is a vibrant and strong child, but one-year ago after being diagnosed with leukaemia, his family's lives were turned upside down.

He's been ten months on his rehabilitation plan, Mum having to take him back and forth from home to the hospital, while dad has been taking care of Cordae's siblings.

Cordae's medical treatment and hospitalisation funds have been covered, but not the amount it will cost for petrol for mum to be by his side.

In addition to that, Cordae still has another three years of rehabilitation to go, so next Saturday a concert fundraiser will be held.

Bands and musical artist, including Three Houses Down, Che Fu, Chad Chambers, NRG Rising and Native Sons to name a few, will gather in Paeroa in Cordae's hometown to help support the cause.

Hosting the event will be Te Hamua Nikora, Aroha Hathaway and Mabal Wharekawa-Burt.
