Conservative Party open to working with Māori political parties

Meet Colin Craig, the leader of the Conservative Party.

Their campaign message in the lead-up to the general election is one rule for all NZers.

The Conservative Party wants to get rid of Māori seats in Parliament.

Mr Craig says the time of the Waitangi Tribunal, treaty claims and settlements has come to an end, and past grievances are a thing of the past.

However, Mr Craig couldn't describe how the move forward from treaty settlements might look like.

Although treaty settlements don't exceed more than 3% of what was confiscated from Māori, the leader of the Conservative Party says he's still open to talking and working with political Māori parties.
