The founder of one of Auckland's most popular radio stations George FM says he's concerned his ex-wife Sophie Nash has left the country and taken their two children with her.
Known on George FM as Thane Kirby, the Ngāpuhi descendant recently posted this message on Facebook, "This is a really hard time for me and my family right now. My ex-wife has left the country and has taken our children with her. I'm devastated but kinda powerless to do anything other than put this matter in the hands of my lawyer, Police and CYF.”
At this stage Police have been unable to locate Kirby’s ex-wife.
Nash was scheduled to appear in the Auckland District Court Thursday on charges of theft, driving while disqualified and breaching a community-work order.
Police say investigations are continuing into the whereabouts of Ms Nash and their children.
