Dover Samuels challenges Labour Party

Regional Councillor for Northland Dover Samuels is out of sorts with the decision by the Labour Party not to support extending the Northern highway from Pūhoi all the way to Wellsford.

Mr Samuels says, “I'm sad that none of those involved in the policy decision came to speak with me.  Ideally they should come North, in person, and take a good look at the terrible state of roading all the way to Cape Reinga.”

A councillor for the Far North District Council, Willow Jean Prime is the Labour candidate for the Northland general seat with a passion to raise the living standards of her people through regional development.

According to Willow Jean Prime, “To develop our region and create employment for the people of this district.  But it’s all a waste of time if basic infrastructure like roading and railway doesn't exist.”

Dover says it’s not that he has stopped supporting the Labour Party but they need to wake up or he will back another horse.

No doubt we shall soon see what benefits there are in the Labour Party’s' regional development policy.
