Elliott steps down as coach of NZ Warriors

After much speculation, Matt Elliot has resigned as head coach of the Vodafone Warriors. Matt has been with the club for 29 games, within that time the side's won 13 games and lost 16.

Assistant coach Andrew McFadden will take his place as acting head coach.

This isn't something new for the club. Brian McClennan wasn't around for long as head coach for the Warriors; he was dismissed before the end of his first season in charge in 2012.

The Warriors are set to play the Bulldogs this Sunday at Eden Park. We’ll see if the change will make a difference to the team’s performance.
