Family to exhibit finest pieces of weaving at Waikato Museum

75 pieces consisting of cloaks, kits, to other clothing artefacts expertly crafted by five generations of women from one family will now be available for all to come and see.

Renowned weavers Dame Rangimarie Hetet, her daughter Diggeress Te Kanawa and their female descendants chose a collection of their works to display for all to see in the knowledge that these precious pieces will live on for years to come.

Although the older three of the five generations have now passed on, their legacy will now live on in their future generations.

The exhibition is set to run for one year for everyone to visit at the Waikato Museum.
