Fat Freddys Drop looks for inspiration through fans & whānau

As one of New Zealand's favourite bands, Fat Freddys Drop could be feeling the pressure to deliver gold with their new album, Bays.

But instead, the boys from Wellington are touring the country getting inspiration from their fans and family.

With their new album Bays just recently released, keyboardist Iain Gordon says they've got a sweet mix for their fans.

They are known for their soulful tunes delivered by lead singer, Dallas Tamaira. After nearly 15 years together, they are approaching their 1000th show.

But it seems age was on their side as they rocked the stage at Mt Maunganui.

Ian Gordon says, "Body is holding out, starting to fall apart a bit these days."

The band will be touring NZ for the next week. They then take their soulful sounds on a worldwide tour.
