Golden Harvest reunite for Waiata Māori Awards

Four Māori brothers raised in Tūrangi who made it big on the music scene in the 1970s are set to perform together again for the first time in almost 30 years.

Golden Harvest will take the stage tonight at the Waiata Māori Awards in Hastings..

Their flashy style and addictive pop-rhythms took the band to the top ten NZ music chart success in 1978 with their song I Need Your Love.

Playing the guitar with his teeth became lead guitarist Kevin Kaukau's signature. A skill which landed him a role in Mt Zion as Booker.

Despite two brothers living in Australia and two in New Zealand, they say their passion for music has never died, and are not ruling out releasing new material.
