Brothers Damien and George Nepata have been rejected compensation by the Government despite two select committees recommending they both receive compensation for their life changing injuries they sustained while in the Army.

The two former soldiers were horrifically maimed while serving in the Army..
Instead of looking after the Nepata brothers the Defence Force ejected them from the Army and they were all but forgotten. They have never received an apology or any compensation for what they suffered. Native Affairs told their story in the hope it would help them get some justice.
