Today, the Government announced its Food in Schools strategy as well as increased funding for healthcare and clothing programmes.
$9.5mil over five years will go towards Sanitarium and Fonterra's KickStart Breakfast programme.
That would see it expand from two to five days a week.
It's for decile 1-4 schools only at this time, but it will become available to all interested schools next year.
As well as that, $1.5mil over three years will go to KidsCan in order to boost its healthcare and clothing programmes, which provide children with raincoats and shoes.
