Grand Slam Beach Volleyball Comp

A group of young Māori players assembled at the foot of Mt Maunganui to show off their skills to those who came to support, however, all eyes were on Ngāpuhi descendant, Rene Kapa.

Some may think that he has been playing volleyball for quite some time because of his sharp skills. However, he has only been playing the sport for three years.

Rene believes that it's the encouragement he gets from his whānau that has allowed him to reach great heights.

Rene's volleyball commitments don't end here. He has more competitions scheduled for the New Year.

There is no doubt we will continue to hear of Rene Kapa’s achievements in the near future.
