Growing concern for missing kaumātua

Concerns are mounting for the welfare of a 65-year-old Māori male from Gulgong NSW who has been missing for nearly a week.  Australian authorities can confirm that Leo Anderson landed at Sydney Airport last Sunday evening after a long-awaited return to visit family in New Zealand.

A work colleague of Anderson alerted family after he failed to turn up for work on Monday morning.

Attempts to contact him have been unsuccessful and checks at his apartment by Mudgee Police officers have found no clues.

Hospitals in Australia have also been checked and family are awaiting word from the Police about any recent bank card activites.

Family spokesperson, Huhana Anderson says her uncle had arranged for a friend to take him from Sydney Airport to Gulgong but family do not know who the friend was.
