Haka 4 Life aims to prevent youth suicide

Haka 4 Life is a fund-raising project aimed at preventing youth suicide.

According to Ariana Cudby of Ngāti Porou descent, “In 2011, I lost my cousin Tegan to suicide.  I think that was the final straw for me, I knew that it had to stop from then on.”

Ariana is one of 11 people chosen by the Key to Life Charitable Trust to raise $1000 in 90 days.  It's an organisation that works with youth to help prevent youth suicide.

The key to the challenge is to upload and donate money to the Haka 4 Life Facebook page and so far there are a number of uploads.

Ariana says, “We have around about 300 at the moment, 300 all over, it's going pretty good, and we have 80 days left to complete the challenge.”
