Solar energy is tagged as the energy source of the future, with technological advancements rapidly improving each day. A memorandum of understanding was recently signed between the Hastings District Council and the Chinese city, Dezhou, dubbed the solar capital of China.
The MOU is significant for the Hastings area in that it formalises the relationship between the two cities, and puts in place strategies to help develop solar energy use in the Hastings area, for residential and business use.
