Healers wānanga to help those in need

Orongomai Marae will again be hosting a healing wānanga "Hōmai Hōatu" this coming Labour weekend.

In previous years over 500 people from the Wellington region have sought help from the various practitioners offering their services.

Organiser Sam Mclean says, “We knew there was a need for something like this, we didn’t know how to get it started, but my sister does this kind of mahi, and so it’s grown from there”

Services on offer include spiritual healing, vibrational healing, whānau constellation workshops, Thai yoga massage and mirimiri/romiromi.

Practitioners are from trained clinics and travel from Whakatāne, Tairāwhiti and Tāmaki Makaurau.

Mclean adds, “It has become evident over the last six years that our urban communities thrive to seek the healing of old, some coming for spiritual relief and specific healing where others simply to escape the financial, emotional and physical stresses that life presents.”

The wānanga will be open on Saturday and Sunday, with a koha donation as entry.
