Hip-Hop Dance crew finalists prepare to battle it out for championship

The Hip Hop Dance Crews heading to the finals of the 2015 NZ Hip-Hop Dance Championships  have been announced.

Around 500 dancers from the bottom of the south island to the top of the North competed for the top spot and the chance to perform at the World Hip-hop Championships in California.

The Junior crews are Future Crew, Kode, Junior Legion. Kaleidoskope, Swagganauts, CKC, Khaos and Bubblegum.

The Adult teams heading to the finals are Akenza, Vixen, Abide, VIP, Associates, Kings and The Bradas.

The finals will take place this Saturday. Te Kāea reporter Wepiha Te Kanawa followed some of the crews who participated this year through their preparation for the competition and the stories he compiled can be viewed below.
