Hone Harawira to appear in court

A taxi was the only mode of transport for the MP to a scheduled interview at Radio Live after Police towed his car from the scene of his arrest in Glen Innes. Hone Harawira claims “I did nothing against the law and the police had no right to smash my car window, I was supporting the community as a Member of Parliament”

The Te Taitokerau MP is no stranger to arrests and protests and this situation hasn't phased him claiming this will not shut him up.

Immediately after his release from custody Hone Harawira travelled to Kaikohe to buy lunch for Sam Kuha who had called an end to a two week hunger strike after the Minister of Social Development Paula Bennett finally agreed to meet with him regarding his concerns over benneficiary reform.
