"The Immortal" Van Duin prepares for upcoming fight in America

Faith 'The Immortal' Van Duin has signed a five-fight deal with Invicta in the featherweight division.  The Ngāpuhi descendant is Storm MMA's first women's featherweight champion.

She recently left for Houston, America, to prepare for her fight against Canada's Charmaine Tweet on Friday December 5.

Van Duin is confident she can win this weekend, and one day become the Invicta featherweight champion.

She is ranked No.1 in New Zealand and fourth in the world for the MMA Featherweight Championship.

The Papamoa-based fighter trains hard in many combats, and while she only got involved in the sport less than three years ago, she has already reached its pinnacle, being the first Māori female fighter to be offered a five-fight contract.
