Joelle King takes out second Australian Open Squash Tournament

Māori squash player Joelle King, along with Paul Coll, have both won their respective finals of the Australian Open Squash tournament in Melbourne.

Currently ranked 57th in the world, King's victory against top seed Annie Au was more straight forward in the womens draw.

Despite coming back from a ruptured Archilles injury, the former world number four showed she still dominated, after beating Au 11-5, 11-6, 11-9.

This was King's second event at top level after injuring herself last year in August.

It is also the second time King has won the championship. In 2009 she claimed the top title.

With a pegged ranking of 11 after injury, she now aims to get back up to her highest ranking of number 4 and further.

Paul Cole of Canterbury beat one of his close friends, Cameron Pilley who is world number 20 and was the top seed, 11-7, 5-11, 11-6, 11-5 in one hour and 22 minutes.
