Jones moves to fifth on party list

The new leader of the Labour Party, David Cunliffe, has named his caucus today with no big surprises in his decisions.

Cunliffe looked relaxed before making his announcements at a press conference this afternoon, and with his colleagues backing him throughout.

He takes top spot on the list as leader, with David Parker as co-leader right behind.

Shane Jones is the Māori MP with the highest standing at No.5, he's also spokesperson for Māori Affairs and the Economy.

Coming in at No.9 is Nanaia Mahuta, spokesperson for Treaty Affairs, and despite internal rumblings in the past, it seems the party may've found themselves a remedy.
