Katherine Coffin optimistic for first season with Northern Mystics

Piopio's Katherine Coffin is optimistic for her first Northern Mystics ANZ season. The 2015 trans-Tasman season starts in March for the Auckland based franchise when they face Tactix in Christchurch.

Katherine Coffin will be stepping up to the top league.

Katherine, who is considered a specialist wing defence, joins after a season with the Magic as a development player.

Katherine will provide cover after Anna Harrison's recent announcement that she will be taking a year out as she's pregnant with her second baby.

The Summer Shootout pre-season tournament early February in Sydney will give Katherine a chance to show her worth to head Coach Debbie Fuller and assistant coach Noeline Taurua.

Katherine recently moved to Auckland and lives with her aunty, former Silver ferns player Jenny-May Coffin.
