King Tūheita to welcome Tua

David Tua is humbled by King Tūheitia's invitation.

The last time Tua fought in Waikato-Tainui was in 2009 when he beat Shane Cameron from Rongomaiwahine.

It was an emotional time for the former New Zealand champ, as he lost a family member in a tsunami that hit Samoa.

Today, Tua paid tribute to another Samoan sporting legend and personal friend the late Peter Fatialofa.

Although an elite athlete David Tua admits he wasn't at his healthiest in the gaps between bouts and after his trainer Lee Parore drew his attention to the risk of being overweight, Tua has made a number of lifestyle changes.

This weekend will be the first time he steps back into the ring after a two-year layoff.

A decisive win by knockout could see him in line for another world title shot.
