Gallery: Kiwi Ferns off to England

The Kiwi Ferns are eager and ready to go to England despite the news that many countries are pulling out due to non-funding.

The Vodafone Warriors have strengthened their commitment to grassroots rugby league in NZ with owner Sir Owen Glenn recently announcing the club will be the Kiwi Ferns' major sponsor.

Only four teams will participate in this year's World Cup; NZ, Australia, France and host country England.

NZ has their first World Cup game on Friday against France.

Kiwi Ferns' captain Honey Hireme will meet the team in Manchester as she's over in Moscow representing the NZ women's sevens rugby team.

It's believed Sir Owen Glenn has promised to throw a massive party on his yacht for the Kiwi Ferns if they bring home the World Cup.
