Kiwibank considers NZ'er of the year recipient

The annual Kiwibank New Zealander of the Year Awards is in its fifth year. It recognises, encourages and rewards New Zealand's most vital asset - its people including a plethora of Māori nominees.

Nearly 250 nominations were received for the 2014 Kiwibank New Zealander of the Year the nominations included influential Māori figures.

Dr. Lance O' Sullivan has been tirelessly working for some time now to bring the less fortunate out of the grasps of poverty, and his efforts have been noticed and he has been shortlisted for the honour due to his tireless efforts in Northland health.

Raniera Harrison spoke with Lance about the nomination.
