Large crowd expected for this year's Ngāpuhi Festival

Today, Te Rūnanga ā-Iwi o Ngāpuhi prepared to welcome the multitudes home.

Festival organiser Reuben Wharawhara says this serves as a chance for Ngāpuhi's 125,000+ descendants to return home.

The invitation by Te Rūnanga ā-Iwi o Ngāpuhi was answered by many of NZ's finest musical talent, so the ears will surely by pleased this weekend.

So much so, Reuben only has one thing left to say before the festival kicks off.

The 2014 Ngāpuhi Festival begins tomorrow morning at Northland College, Kaikohe, and runs through to Sunday night.
