The last surviving veteran of The 28th Māori Battalion's B Company has returned to Monte Cassino, Italy to pay his respects to his fallen comrades.
75 years ago a young Robert Gillies of Te Arawa and Ngati Kahungunu was part of what has been described as a costly battle, especially for his company.
