Local clubs host NRL Nines teams

All the NRL Nines teams were welcomed to local league clubs around Auckland for community visits, which gave the public the opportunity to meet their favourite players. Te Kāea was present at the Pakuranga and Papatoetoe Rugby League Clubs, where they welcomed the Mäori players from the Bulldogs and the Eels.

Every man, child and his dog flocked to the Pakuranga Jaguar clubrooms last night.

The Bulldog players held training seminars for the kids, among the

16 players were two Māori brothers, Tauranga's own Sam and Lloyd Perrett who are excited about being home.

The club held a gala day to get players registered, and they took advantage of the 1500 plus people who were present.

Pakuranga Club chairperson Hilary Skelton was happy with the turnout.

The Bulldogs will play in the fourth game of the competition, which starts tomorrow.
