One man is critically injured after what Police describe as an incident involving a large group of men in the Western Heights suburb of Rotorua.
Police say they were called to the scene this afternoon after multiple reports of disorder and that gunshots had been heard. Two men are known to have been injured and were taken to Rotorua Hospital.
One has critical injuries while the other has left the hospital. Four men have been arrested and enquiries are ongoing.
Police say they will be maintaining a presence in the area and there are no immediate concerns for public safety.
