Mana’s Annette Sykes vies for Waiariki electorate seat

Annette Sykes has 14 weeks before Election Day and will again represent Mana Party for the Waiariki seat.

According to Annette, “The time has come for a new face to stand, to fight against the Goverment. Why? For the Māori people and for everyone!”

At the Te Arawa Regional Kapa Haka festival yesterday the Mana Party announced her intentions to run for the Waiariki seat. They also invited Kim Dotcom to the event.

Hone Harawira says, “'Dotcom sent his apologies. He really wanted to come. He had some ideas he wanted to express to the media, in regards to how he thinks he can help Annette, and how he will help Annette.”

In the last elections, Annette Sykes came second to Te Ururoa Flavell of the Māori Party, but her goals are clear this time around.

Annette states, “The main thing is to bring together those working towards independence, that's different to what the Govt does.”

Annette Sykes intends to make a very clear stand for Māori women in her stand for Waiariki.
