Manawatū steal ITM Cup win from Southland

Manawatū capitalised on a Southland mistake from the kick-off, with Nathan Tudreu galloping across for the opening try of the night.

Manawatū scored again, the try coming from another Southland mistake after they overthrew on their lineout.  Again, Manawatū crossed over for their third try, which made for an easy conversion.

Jason Emery slipped through the defence to score another try.  The opposition didn't give up easy,  with a bit of hard work and determination, Southland's John Hardie crashed over the try line to score.

The referees were unsure if the ball was planted correctly, but after much consideration it was then awarded.

Manawatū came out on top, winning 41-20.
