Māori All Blacks to face Fiji tomorrow

The Māori All Blacks have had their last run on the pitch before their test match against Fiji in Suva tomorrow.

They have their captain, Charlie Ngatai back, to lead the boys in the captain's run this afternoon and he can't wait to wear the black jersey in for the second time in three days.

Off the plane and straight to business - while Ngatai has been with the All Blacks this week in Samoa, he says he isn't on the back foot coming into the Māori environment so late.

Ngatai will be playing alongside nine debutants in the team.  He knows exactly what they're feeling after his own debut with the All Blacks in Wednesday's historic test match against Samoa.

Ngāpuhi lock Jacob Skeen is in the starting line-up, and tomorrow's game will be his first national representative experience.

Like Ngatai, Skeen’s week has been full of new experiences.

This team’s visit to the Children's Hospital this morning was a special experience for both the children and the players.

The workers say these sorts of visits gave the kids a real boost.

But the focus now is solely on tomorrow's test and when the boys play with Māori pride in the black jersey.

The rain is coming down and it won't be any different tomorrow, so both teams will try to hold onto possession and advance through their forward packs.
