Māori kiwifruit gain international trading recognition from PM

As Singapore celebrates its 50th Anniversary of Independence this weekend, a group of Māori kiwi fruit growers are on the island exploring their independence in trading relationships.

Today, Prime Minister John Key attended the blessing of the Zespri offices in Singapore as he visits the nation to help celebrate 50 years of independence. He supports Māori branding in business and fully supports these Māori kiwifruit growers looking at expanding into the Asian region.

Anthony Ruakere of Te Awanui Huka Pak says marketing a Māori brand alone isn't a cheap exercise.
