Māori Women’s Development Incorporation launch business course

Māori women and their whānau are the focus of a new initiative designed to help grow and support their businesses.

Today the Māori Women's Development Incorporated launch a new financial literacy and business hub called 'He Oranga' in Kaikohe.

According to present experts, Māori women have some of the most potentially successful small businesses in the country, however common challenges are notable.

Therefore Māori Women’s Development Incorporated took it upon themselves to do something about it.

Financial literacy is the prerequisite to any successful business, no matter which type and this is what the first focus was at the hui.

Understanding technology and working as a team are two essential components to running a good business in today’s fast changing world, for any good business owner.

It's the first course of its kind, however the intention is to roll it out into other parts of the country.
