E toru tau te tatari kia tū he konohete i a Stan Walker, ā, nō te rangi nei whakapuakina ake ngā whakarite. Hei te marama o Whiringa a-rangi ka tū ngā konohete tekau, ki ngā pito maha o te motu. Ā, i tēnei pō i korero a Stan ki a Te Kāea mō kaupapa nui āna, me tāna kiriata hou, The Stolen.
E whakapono ana a Stan Walker he huarahi nui ana konohete hei painga mō āna kaitautoko.
“Its home. It’s one of the best places to tour for me. I’ve done so many tours different shows on a level beyond big stadiums and little stadiums like in places like Edgecumbe which is in the middle of nowhere.”
I whānau mai ia i Ahitereria engari e kore rawa ia e huri kē i tōna āo Māori.
“I can't deny, I can't deny my responsibility and my calling back here. No matter where I am in the world. Sometimes I fight and I just want to move to America because as an artist I am striving to be the best.”
I rongonui a Stan i a ia e tekau mā iwa ngā tau, ka takahi ia i te huarahi i te āo kiriata, me tāna wero hōu, te kiriata hou, The Stolen.
“The Stolen is set in the 1800's in the colonial New Zealand. I am the only one that's a Māori a character named Matai left in his tribe because they got wiped out by another iwi. It’s the biggest challenge physically because back then I do a lot of fighting, the physicality was the biggest challenge ever.”
Inaianei rua tekau ma rima ngā tau o te kaiwaiata o Ngāi Te Rangi, me tāna he timatanga noaiho tēnei i a ia e kawe tonu ana i te mānuka i tana ūmanga.
