A wharekai at Mōkai Marae near Taupō will be re-opened tomorrow after it was destroyed by fire in 2015.
A dawn service will take place outside the newly built wharekai, Parehingaawatea.
A funeral was taking place at the marae when the wharekai was destroyed by fire. Fire Fighters arrived in time to prevent the fire from burning the nearby wharenui.
