This week will see the signing of the first ever Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between an iwi and a private landowner.
Representatives from Ngäti Paoa and the Spencer family; one of NZ's wealthiest families, will sign an MOU over Owhiti Bay, a small remote part of Waiheke Island, and it's causing a stir with iwi members and locals.
