It was indeed an impressive match between the Mystics and the Magic last night in Rotorua.
The Mystics were trailing by nine in the final quarter, however, managed to force their way back.
The Magic had improved after a dismal performance against the Central Pulse last week.
The visitors picked up momentum in the second period, however it was the Magic who added eight points to the scoreboard.
At half-time it was 28-21 and the crowd had turned their support up several decibels.
The Mystics was the more dominant team in the third quarter, but four minutes before the break, Catherine Latu went down due to an ankle injury.
Things became tense in the final quarter with both teams making small mistakes.
The Mystics however, upped the ante and the Waikato-based team started to panic.
Maria Tutaia was the star of the match. She landed three goals in the final minute, including a penalty shot with time up.
Final score: 45-all.
